Southern Miss’ Burcham captures two Prism Awards in State Contest | Schools

Tara Burcham, coordinator of public relations in the College of Science and Technology at The University of Southern Mississippi, won two professional awards at the 2012 Public Relations Association of Mississippi awards banquet held recently in Columbus.

Burcham received a PRism award in the category Writing for Public Relations for the news release “USM Science and Mentoring Program Reaches Local High Schools.”  In the category of Images, Burcham also won a PRism award for the “USM Science Mentoring Photo.”   

PRAM awards are given for public relations work in 25 categories and are submitted by professionals from around the state of Mississippi. The PRism is the top award in each category, followed by the Award of Excellence for work worthy of recognition, and the Certificate of Achievement recognizes notable work in the field of public relations.
