The Great Marion County Tailgate Event | Events

The following is a press release from Main Street Columbia:

Join us in Historic Downtown Columbia, Sept. 8, for a great Tailgate Event with drum lines, cheerleaders and more to put on a show for you from each of our city and county schools.

Bring you a chair and sit a while in the Courthouse Square listening to former NFL football players:

• Eddie Payton
• Jeff Posey
• and Mike Landrum

They will be speaking to the crowd while the band Schepe rocks out the Courthouse Square.

Food booths as well as restaurants, movies and shopping will be available in our great downtown. Tailgate event will take place from 5-7 p.m. and downtown will remain open for shopping,dining, movies and more until 8 p.m.
